Week from Hell
Thursday, September 18th, 2008I’ve had the week from hell:
1. One client I show up at her house after a 1/2 hour drive with my daughter in tow only for her to tell us we can’t come in because she has [what turned out to be a booty call] She claimed she didn’t have her check book to pay me for the three hours work and equipment I had alright done and purchased.
2. Another client died of cancer Tuesday. I just saw him two weeks ago.
3. My ex husband is off his meds and verbally abused our daughter last night to the point she broke down in tears sobbing she never wants to see him again and she has a horrible life.
I want a do-over!
Update: I forgot to add that I was home today with a sick child – digestive issues this morning but seems to be doing better now. Yesterday she was a wreck from sinus congestion, sore throat, swollen glands and a skinned knee. I went to the visitiation for my client who passed. It still blows my mind he’s gone. I just saw him two weeks ago. His wife and sons said he failed quickly the last week or so and ended up dying in his sleep. I guess that is the best way to go but it’s still hard to imagine him gone. I’m going to miss him terribly. He traveled the world and had great stories to tell. It’s been hard to lose two clients in one week – one from her stupidity and the other from death.
In good news I’m planning a block party and tomorrow night and Saturday day are filled with fun things. The rest of the weekend will be nail biting as my daughter goes to her dad’s. That’s a really long post for another day.
